Lacquer Model
The pictured kitchen shows modern clean lines that match the rest of the home and continues the same blend of materials and colors – the pantry wall is lacquered in a painting method unique to Semel, and the island of oak is integrated with shades of black that break up the natural golden tones of the wood. The combination of the island and the rural sloping ceiling in the living room creates a contrast and a unique look that complements each.

MEET THE DESIGNER
Shlomit Zeldman
The firm designs private and public spaces, specializing in homes in Israel and overseas. “I consider the design of a person’s home or office to be of the highest value. The fruits of my creativity will ultimately determine what the client experiences, from the moment he wakes up in the morning until he goes to bed at night, so it is very important for me to get into the client’s head and create an experience for him that he will want to experience every day. Therefore, beyond creativity and design ability, listening is the most important tool that I use.”
