Scraped Douglas Fournier model
For this kitchen, the architect chose to cover the façade and island with Scraped Douglas Fournier (a unique roughened texture). Cast Corten steel, in a matching color to the kitchen and island Fournier, was chosen for the railing for the house’s stairs. To give the Fournier dominance on the one hand, but to mitigate it on the other, white Caesar marble was selected for balance. The entire kitchen has a modern appearance that is softened and made pleasant by the wood cabinets. The integration of wood, white marble, and black chairs give the kitchen a unique appearance, while keeping it classic. The special kitchen lights add interest to the island, creating a truly special appearance.
