Kashmir lacquer and natural veneer kitchen
“The starting point when planning the kitchen was based on practicality. That’s why the kitchen was designed with two parallel lines of long work surfaces, allowing for convenient use by two cooks simultaneously,” explains designer Tuvia Penfil.
“The cabinets beneath the work surfaces were clad in Kashmir-colored lacquer (LAK), which is practical for maintenance. In addition, comfortable external handles with an industrial look were chosen.”
A separation was created in the choice of materials: the fronts of the tall cabinets were clad in natural veneer, adding warmth and influencing the overall appearance of the kitchen.
To avoid the heavy look of a large mass of wooden cabinets, a fixed window was designed above the carpentry units surrounding the refrigerator, allowing natural light to enter. Above the window, a gypsum soffit framed with matching veneer was added.
The final appearance of the tall cabinet fronts is unique and one-of-a-kind.
Another interesting element is the inclusion of a floating entryway dresser positioned toward the home’s foyer.
The dresser continues beyond the partition wall separating the island from the foyer, creating an illusion of continuity.
To complete the clean look, light marble with a veined pattern and grid-pattern ceramic tiles were chosen.
The result is a very comfortable kitchen to work in, featuring unique solutions with a sophisticated and meticulous finish.

Tuvia Penfil
The studio was founded by Tuvia Penfil in 2010.
We provide personal and close guidance starting from the dream stage, through precise planning of the spaces, designing custom-made furniture, and finishing with home styling using textiles and decorative elements.
We bring with us extensive experience and deep knowledge of details, with a focus on the human elements that turn a space into a functional environment that truly serves the people living in it. Our work follows a structured and organized process, where the client is a full partner.
Every step of the planning and design process is based on the client — their wishes, needs, daily habits, and unique personality.
Our planning method is based on 3D renderings, not only 2D plans, allowing you to get a realistic sense of the final space at an early stage of the design process.
