Kashmir metal lacquer kitchen combined with bleached oak veneer
“The journey of renovating the apartment in Petah Tikva began with some serious cleaning,” says project designer Mor Novitz Shomer.
“Even during our very first visit to the apartment, before diving into the program and the specific needs of the residents, we realized that we needed to clear out the visual noise that was hiding the home’s true assets and potential.
The apartment was full of decorative dropped ceilings, gypsum moldings reminiscent of certain classical European styles, and other ornaments disconnected from the character of the space — and certainly from the identity of the homeowners.”
Just like the rest of the apartment, the kitchen was closed off, packed with impractical cabinets and lacking comfortable seating.
In planning the new kitchen, the designer chose a bright and airy palette, creating a space that allows all family members to move and work together freely.
The kitchen features Kashmir metal lacquer fronts with a subtle shimmer, combined with bleached oak veneer, continuing the soft and delicate aesthetic throughout the space.
At its center stands a large island, designed to allow comfortable circulation around it and spacious seating for the entire family.
