Oven-Painted Kitchen Combined with Veneer and Striped Glass in Sand Shades
The kitchen in this North Tel Aviv apartment was renovated by the project designers as part of a deep and highly intensive renovation.
“In the world of renovations, there are always unforeseen circumstances,” the designers explain. “Unexpected elements are revealed during the process that require quick, effective solutions. During this renovation, we discovered structural columns and beams right in the heart of the kitchen—something we hadn’t known about beforehand.
In the midst of the renovation, we had to urgently return to the drawing board to design a kitchen that would be both beautiful and practical, while cleverly concealing all of the structural elements. We replaced the appliances to fit the new layout and carefully selected a combination of materials and colors that would suit the updated design—oven-baked painted finishes, veneer, and striped glass in soft sand tones.”
One of the clients’ main requests was to have a central family seating area in the heart of the kitchen. As a result, the designers planned an L-shaped kitchen with an inviting central table, offering a view of Tel Aviv’s skyline while remaining open to all parts of the home.
