Modern minimalist kitchen with super white nano finish
After selling their beautifully designed apartment along with all its contents, Tal Mayo Halevi’s clients returned for the design and planning of a new home – this time, a private house in Kochav Yair. The process began as early as the planning stage, with the goal of maximizing the home’s potential and adapting it to the family’s needs.
“One of the main challenges was reconfiguring the layout to create a greater sense of spaciousness and a larger kitchen than the contractor’s original plan, both in terms of storage and work surfaces. Since it’s a private house with a garden, the decision was made to forego a traditional dining area in favor of a family seating space for up to five people around the island. This layout allowed us to enjoy additional work surfaces by creating a kitchen built from two parallel ‘L’-shaped sections. The ‘L’-shaped island design enabled the addition of more work surfaces, extra storage space, and the placement of the cooktop facing the central living area. The wall of tall cabinets was designed to reach the non-standard ceiling height of three meters. The TV wall wasn’t large enough, so we extended it with a light, diagonal iron shelving unit custom-designed for the space, upgraded with additional storage,” explains designer Tal Mayo Halevi.
The kitchen was chosen in a modern, minimalist style with a super white nano finish, combined with built-in handles and a porcelain granite countertop featuring subtle veining.
