The White House
The sense of resort living defined in the program was translated into a design language entirely dominated by white.
“Although my projects are diverse and crafted to suit each client’s preferences, white is my personal favorite color,” explains Tzafrak, “and in this case, it was a natural choice, given the clients’ request for a home that would evoke a feeling of vacation and escape.
White carries a pure simplicity, creating an atmosphere of calm and serenity.”
To avoid a flat or monotonous appearance, various textures were incorporated to create depth and visual interest, so even within the flow of white, there is dynamic variation.
The kitchen and dining area speak the same clean, white language, complemented by chairs designed by Karim Rashid.
The kitchen was custom-designed together with the clients, tailored to their needs and preferences.
Its look combines epoxy-finished fronts with Corian, used for both countertops and wall cladding.
Every element that could be hidden, including appliances, was concealed inside cabinets or behind panels to maintain a seamless appearance.
At the center stands an island unit, with part of its surface serving as a daily dining table, and like all areas of the open space, it offers views of the garden.
“Although all this whiteness might seem intimidating and hard to maintain, the materials chosen are practical, durable, and easy to clean,” Tzafrak emphasizes.
“This is a living, active home, and the material selection, made with this in mind, has proven its worth over time.”
