Black lacquer kitchen with oak wood
A unique kitchen designed as part of a new project by Semel Kitchens and interior designer Revital Chen.
“Designing this kitchen was a challenge due to its layout—a narrow and long space that initially felt closed off and confined. The two exits leading to the main garden were an important factor in the planning, as we wanted to create a natural flow for the family to move between the kitchen and the yard. We decided to design a long island that incorporates a table for daily use and hosting, replacing the need for a traditional dining table and maximizing the space,” explains the designer.
A variety of materials were chosen for the kitchen: the tall cabinets were designed in a black shade, the base drawers were finished with a black lacquer model, and the integrated table on the island was made from butcher block in a natural oak color.
