Charcoal gray kitchen with granite countertops
In this project, the residents requested to “come home every day with renewed excitement,” and this became the guiding principle for designers Dedi and Yafit Reuveni. The locations of the kitchen and living room were swapped and adapted to meet the residents’ needs and desires, as well as the designers’ vision for the layout of the apartment and its built structure.
The construction process took about two years, during which time meticulous attention was given to details in close collaboration with the couple. They were open to the designers’ ideas and embraced many of them, creating a positive energy throughout the process—an energy that, according to the designer, continues to this day through messages from the clients expressing their happiness in the home.
The kitchen was designed to connect directly with the overall design of the house, featuring a deep charcoal gray color with granite stone surfaces chosen for both the island countertop and the backsplash in the kitchen niche. The tone of the granite matches the feature wall opposite, creating two dominant walls within the space.
“Flow and good energy between the clients and the designer are incredibly important in the design process, and when they exist, it’s evident in the results,” says Reuveni.
