Modern black kitchen combined with veneer
The house was designed for a young family consisting of a couple and their three children. The home’s design is modern, with straight, clean lines, in shades of black and gray combined with natural materials.
In the kitchen design, the designer chose graphite gray and matte black tones, with a touch of natural oak wood and granite stone countertops in black shades, featuring subtle brown veining in a natural finish.
Since the kitchen is very active, it was designed at the center of the house, open to a double-height space and visible from all the shared areas, including the family room located on the upper level.
The requirement was to maximize storage space, so the kitchen was planned in an L-shape with tall cabinets. On one side, part of the cabinetry was recessed to create a continuous work surface and an upper wooden shelf that wraps around the kitchen corner, adding lightness to the mass of cabinets.
The kitchen also includes a large island with storage, integrated oven and cooktop, and seating areas.

“In every architecture and design project, the guiding principle begins with a close connection to the client and an effort to understand their desires and needs, creating a list of functions and wishes.
It is important to maintain a seamless relationship between the interior and exterior by blurring boundaries, creating a classic and timeless design, and avoiding passing trends.”
