Royal blue kitchen, Bama model
In this project, the kitchen is the beating heart of the home.
Positioned right at the entrance, it defines the overall design style of the entire house.
From a design perspective, functionality was just as important as creating a refined and cohesive look, making the kitchen appear like a luxurious piece of furniture.
The first design decision was the color.
The designer and homeowners wanted a lively, joyful shade and immediately knew it would come from the blue color palette.
From there, a unique and highly durable solid material was chosen for the fronts, designed in the Bama style with no handles to create the most seamless appearance possible.
The general style of the home is modern with a touch of luxurious gold accents, which were also incorporated into the kitchen.
A stunning gold faucet serves as a central focal point, complemented by slim, gold-finished iron light fixtures hanging elegantly above the island.
For the countertops, the choice was a white surface to brighten the kitchen and visually open it up to the rest of the house.
Subtle black veining ties in perfectly with the black iron accents that define the overall design.
The selected material resembles marble — both beautiful and highly durable.

MEET THE DESIGNER
Efrat Kay
I am Efrat Kay, an architect and interior designer, and a graduate of the Architecture program at Bezalel.
I start every day with immense passion for the work of planning and design, and I truly love the world of design in all its forms and styles.
By nature, I am a perfectionist, and for me, the details are what make the difference.
I strive for perfection in every aspect, especially in the planning, design, and styling work I create for my clients.
For me, the process of planning, designing, and styling is comprehensive and complete.
I prepare execution plans, supervise work on-site, and add the final touches through styling – delivering a full project from A to Z.
I believe that external aesthetics are just as important as precise internal finishes – perfection inside and out.
What guides the entire design process is the functionality of the project as a whole.
When I design a residential home, I first and foremost focus on the residents – their desires and dreams.
The entire planning process is a shared and harmonious journey, creating a living space that is accurate, personal, and unique.
The collaboration with the client throughout the planning and design process is the most significant part for me.
Design and planning are not just about creating a harmonious and complete look – but about fostering harmonious living for the people who will call the house their home.
