Brass-Toned Kitchen with Display Cabinets
When Modernity Meets Roots:
This unique home is located in the historic Arnona neighborhood of Jerusalem — a 110 sqm apartment that underwent a complete renovation from the ground up. The home was designed for a sophisticated couple in their golden years, unafraid to embrace bold material choices with plenty of character.
As part of the new design, the interior design studio YUNU Design chose to move the large dining area to a space added to the apartment through a TAMA 38 project, allowing for a more spacious living room and kitchen layout.
“The main materials we selected for the apartment include flooring with the appearance of onyx marble with golden touches, and a brass-toned kitchen that blends beautifully with a glass display cabinet, black iron details, and stainless steel accents.
Light, delicate onyx stone continues seamlessly from the kitchen countertops to cover the walls, even concealing the air conditioning vents within it,” shares YUNU Design.
The couple has lived in this apartment for many years, back when it was a modest, small home. Their request was to experience a high-quality lifestyle, while incorporating personal items collected over the years — a rich collection of Israeli art pieces and elegant new furniture. These elements were harmoniously integrated into the modern and luxurious aesthetic created for the space.

YUNU DESIGN Studio
The studio was founded in Jerusalem in 2011 under the name YUNU DESIGN. We engage with interior design at every stage, accompanying the client on a journey that culminates in a space perfectly tailored to them.
After many years of experience in renovations and construction, we understand that to create a perfect space—and to get through the renovation process calmly—it’s not enough to craft a design concept and precise working plans. There are many moving parts that demand constant attention: budget management; trades that need on-site guidance; numerous vendors who require synchronization and coordination; and many furniture pieces and finishes that call for updates and fine-tuning.
That’s why the studio’s total-design ethos is expressed through end-to-end support—from concept and planning, through on-site supervision, all the way down to choosing the towel hook.
Yuri Nulman
Interior designer Yuri Nulman brings to his work extensive experience as an industrial designer, creating holistic spaces in which every detail is harmoniously designed.
He holds a B.Des in Industrial Design from the Bezalel Academy of Arts and Design, and is an honors graduate of the Interior Design program at Shenkar – Practical Engineers. In 2011 Yuri founded YUNU DESIGN, which provides interior design and home-styling services to private and commercial clients, with a primary focus on residential design.
In the spaces he designs, every detail is chosen carefully and thoughtfully:
“When I work on a space, I design the entire environment as well as its details. The studio’s uniqueness lies in the fact that each project includes custom-made pieces for the home—lighting, furniture, carpentry, and metalwork. In the end, the client receives a total, one-of-a-kind design in which every element is addressed and nothing is left without consideration.”
“There is a constant dialogue between me and the client, but ultimately it is they who will live in the space, so their opinion is critical. My goal is to help the client precisely define their design vision and create a space that reflects their unique taste—and even surpasses every expectation.”
