Kitchen with dark veneer and gray painted finish
In this project, the designer made significant interior changes, opening up the kitchen by removing a family room that had been adjacent to it and disconnected it from the public space.
“I connected the public area of the living room to the kitchen — something I see as essential, both from a design perspective, for flow and functionality, and from a cultural perspective, reflecting our habits of entertaining and dining,” explains designer Alona Orlen.
The result is a stunning three-zone kitchen, designed to allow comfortable use by multiple people at once:
- A wall of tall cabinets housing all the appliances,
- A five-meter-long island for seating and meal prep,
- A third strip featuring a floating cabinet, which also functions as a bar for drinks — alcoholic, hot, and cold.
The kitchen has an elegant, dramatic aesthetic, combining grooved dark wood veneer, gray painted finishes, and richly patterned marble with movement and depth, serving as a true work of art.
This thoughtful combination creates a visually striking and dynamic kitchen full of character and drama.
