Golden Aluminum Kitchen with an American Walnut Island
In the heart of Neve Tzedek, architect Oshir Esben designed a duplex for a young family, combining minimalist aesthetics with warmth and sophistication in an intriguing way.
The house is divided into three floors: the main floor, which includes the public spaces; the upper floor with the bedrooms; and a basement level that houses a family room.
Upon entering the main floor, you are greeted by a stunning kitchen. The kitchen was designed along an entire wall of tall cabinets finished in golden aluminum. Within this wall, a niche was created with glass cabinets and an American walnut veneer backing, adding the feel of a piece of furniture or bar to the space. Opposite the wall of cabinets stands an island clad with American walnut slats, featuring diagonal panels that create a unique perspective when viewed from different angles.
The carefully selected materials and finishes emphasize the functional elegance of the space. Despite its minimalist tones, the interior design exudes warmth through a mix of eclectic furniture and artwork. The intentional play of textures and shades creates an inviting atmosphere, making it a welcoming home for the young family.
This house is not just a residence – it is a testament to architectural innovation, where every detail contributes to the overall narrative of contemporary elegance.
