Gray kitchen combined with basalt Corian
In this project, a spacious kitchen was designed at the heart of the home, intended for cooking together as a couple and preparing family dinners, while the children sit at the island, drawing or doing homework.
“In the previous kitchen, there was only room for one person to cook, and the only work surface was between the sink and the cooktop,” explains project designer Neta Li.
“In the new design, we created a large island with seating for six people so that the grandparents can join as well.
The island features a basalt-colored Corian countertop, which looks like natural stone. Typically, people choose white Corian, but here we wanted to innovate and surprise, so we selected this material in a darker version that perfectly suited the kitchen.
The connections between the surfaces are nearly invisible, the sink is seamlessly integrated, and the countertop corners are rounded to prevent water from seeping into the wood.”
