A kitchen in sand tones combined with graphite and black shades
In this project, one of the clients’ main priorities was to create a functional and spacious kitchen with ample workspace and plenty of storage.
“A practical, beautiful kitchen designed to handle lots of cooking,” was their request.
To achieve this, we designed a parallel-style kitchen that is not only highly functional but also serves multiple purposes.
On one side, there is a wall of tall cabinets providing generous storage, along with integrated refrigerator and freezer units.
The window area features a work surface that includes a sink, dishwasher, additional storage, and an integrated trash unit.
Within the impressive cabinet wall, a hidden VRF air conditioning unit was cleverly integrated to cool the home’s entrance area without disrupting the design.
The island is packed with storage on both sides, housing cooking zones and offering seating for the entire family, making it the true heart of the kitchen.
The kitchen follows a modern style, combining touch-latch cabinets with profile handles featured on the island.
The color palette was chosen to blend seamlessly with the rest of the home, combining light and dark shades, with a mix of sand tones, graphite, and black.
These tones are unique and dynamic — the brushed finish changes appearance throughout the day, reflecting different shades depending on the sunlight and lighting conditions, giving the family a kitchen that transforms visually from morning to night.
The countertops were sourced from Semel Pro, carefully selected to match the cabinetry beneath or beside them.
“We didn’t want to create a stark contrast between the countertop and the cabinets,” explains the designer, “but rather to blend everything in a harmonious way.”
A light-colored countertop with subtle brown accents was chosen for the sink area, while the island features a darker countertop with hints of gray and brown, adding depth and sophistication.
