Original and Creative Thinking – Changing Perceptions!
A private home in Rehovot underwent renovation driven by the need for a new kitchen — one that would be more luxurious, functional, and indulgent, while meeting a wide range of demands.
The kitchen space was not very large, yet the design had to address several critical needs:

Additional storage space

More work surfaces

Connection between the person working in the kitchen and the rest of the home

A seemingly impossible request — an island seating arrangement for five people, facing each other.
During the design process, there was a challenge: the kitchen could not be physically expanded due to the presence of a safe room (Mamad) on the right side and an electrical and communications cabinet on the other.
After extensive thought and creativity, a solution was found: a kitchen layout built with two parallel “R” shaped structures.
The design of one “R” shape continued along the Mamad wall, which was clad in darkened mirrors to create a sense of spaciousness, complemented by linear ceiling lighting strips.
The chosen color palette included light gray fronts in super nano finish, accented with American walnut details, perfectly matching the existing parquet flooring in the home.
