Matte basalt lacquer kitchen with a brushed veneer island
Here is a project in Kiryat Ono, designed for a couple in their golden years.
The kitchen was designed with matte basalt lacquer cabinetry, while the island was crafted from brushed veneer, bringing a natural warmth to the space.
The house, built 30 years ago, originally had a wall at the center of the kitchen, separating it from the dining area located behind it. The old kitchen did not feature an island, but rather a small seating nook.
In the new design, the designers aimed to open up the entire central space. They removed the wall and created a U-shaped kitchen, providing ample room for all appliances, storage, and comfortable seating around the island.
“By doing this, we opened up the entire central area so that the kitchen, dining area, and living room now speak the same design language and flow seamlessly together,” explain the project designers.
